Candles
February 23, 2010 –
A fella once said to me, ‘Oh, have you had a power cut?’ because of all the lovely candles I had alight in my place. Hahaha , honestly! :) Actually it was just in the boudoir in that instance, but I have candles all over, everywhere. Yes even in my bathroom. If you are a regular visitor or even an irregular visitor you will know that already. I love them. Scented ones are my favourite but I like normal candles too, I even have a soft spot for t-lights – there you are.
Now like most things in life, there are candles and then there are Candles.
Top of the pops for candles has to be…
Diptyque – oh my!
Originally a Paris interior design store, Diptyque made the scented candle into a modern day cult classic. Founded by three friends, it was their collective love of travel, particularly to the Far East and Africa, that first inspired the exotic range of scents. Initially created as a finishing touch to their interior designs, their stunning range of scented candles has gone on to be famous around the world.
Now then, Diptyque has many facets. You must buy Freesia for day; John Galliano for fabulous occasions; Tubereuse for candlelit dinners, Baises (berries) in black wax for seduction.
How do I know all this? Dont ask ;)
The other beauty in the candle world is Jo Malone, clean, elegant look and clean elegant scents. Heavenly.
Besides all of this, candlelight is romantic, seductive, and scents are erotic and enticing, what a heady combination. Mr M brought me candles the other day. They smell of White Cocoa Truffle. Thanks Mr M :) x
I think I am addicted to candles. Oh, I feel a shopping trip coming on….
