I dont think I will be going on any tours this year, with this weather who needs to travel too far? Next year though, I am planning a few. I havent got any fixed dates yet and I know its quite a way off but please express your interest and I will get back to you first when I have a firm date. I usually get booked a few months in advance and quite a few gents have already contacted me regarding South Africa so that’s exciting!

Where have I toured before? Well I have been on tour to New York, Dubai, Edinburgh, London (many times when I lived elsewhere), Bath and Dublin. Wonderful times and wonderful memories, perhaps we can make some more when I see you this time around? Getting excited already! x
Yes it is decided (almost!), I shall be taking a little holiday of around 3 weeks to South Africa in January 2011. I know its a long time away but a trip like this needs planning. Lots of planning. I have got my flight – its free hehe. I managed to accumulate enough points for a first class flight to Cape Town, lucky me. Just have to pick the gorgeous hotels and stunning safari lodges now. Wow they are going to be special. I am so looking forward to it. The last time I was in Africa, I was in Zimbabwe before all the nonsense started. I loved it, truly magical. Mmmm, yes I shall be travelling the wine route, the garden route, a 2 day spa break and of course around 4 days of safari. I know a lot of my fellas have been to South Africa before, so I would appreciate any tips you may have – especially places to stay and recommended restaurants of the gourmet variety are always welcomed! And what if you are in South Africa in January? Well, yes I will be having a few days where I will be available for you. Get in touch, we can shimmy together under a orange sun ;) Off to book my flight now :) x

Well as usual I had a lovely time in London, very, very special. Being blessed with fantastic weather for the 5 days I was there was a real bonus. So what did I get up too? Well… (saucy wink) lots of fab things. A word about my hotel though. Totally, totally amazing; service second to none and a beautiful, elegant room. Talking of elegant, the dining room there was possibly, no definitely the best I have ever had the pleasure of dining in. Truly divine. I loved the dress code too – jacket and tie for the gents at all times – perfect. I do love a gent in a smart suit and tie, very handsome indeed.
Here’s a funny thing I noticed though. Apart from the attention to detail, which was fierce. On alighting from the cab on arrival, the doorman took my bag, he must have swiftly looked at my luggage tag, beamed at me and said ‘Welcome to the blah de blah, Miss Charles!’ Brilliant. Another one, as I was leaving to go a party one evening asked me where I would like the cab to take me. When I told him he said ‘And very lucky they are to have you too, Ma’am’ A nice tip for you then young man. Oh I am a sucker for a smooth line.
So, apart from all of that. Here’s the thing. Ive mentioned a few times about my disturbing mania about those bloody shower caps. Well, I stayed in my room sans a gentleman overnight until the 3rd night. The maid must have seen there was only a lady in the room by the lack of male luggage and testosterone etc. So when the time came to service the room for the evening, turning down the sheets and the usual fripperies and niceries were seen to. When it was noticed by said maid that a gentleman was in attendance, she put a sort of cloth across the silk headboard. I kid you not. It was done in the best possible taste of course but there it was, this little sheet strung across the bedhead with the hotel’s emblem upon it. I can only assume that they have had a bit of an incident with gentlemen’s hair gel. You can imagine cant you?, a guy propped up in bed watching tv and whoops a dirty great stain over the very expensive furnishings. I have never seen anything like it and in future shall either request a bedhead sheet for my overnight gentlemen guests or make them wear that ubiquitous shower cap – only kidding!, only kidding!
It was London Fashion Week while I was there and I was reading a little about this on the way up on the train. By pure coincidence, on one of the days I was returning to my room I headed towards the two small lifts where stood a lady, I smiled, she smiled and then I waited for the lift. Oh my God! I suddenly realised. I know who that is. I was just reading about her on the way up. It was Anna Wintour. For those readers of a decidedly anti-fashion bent (or even mild disinterest on the subject of fashion, after all you do have better things to do :); she is the Editor of Vogue. She is the Grande Dame of fashion. She is the one to whom all other fashionistas bow and scrap. She is the one ALL designers want on their front row and the one that all supermodels want to get on the right side of. You get the picture dont you? She is also alllegedly the inspiration for the film ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ and is by all accounts a bit of a mare, as in a nightmare. (Her being ‘the devil’ part). So, all in all apparently, a total so and so to work for. I also remember reading and recalling from the film that this lady does not share lifts… with ANYONE.
Hahaha, ‘what a dilemma!’ I think to myself. Oh well, I wont mind sharing if she doesnt :) Well, a lift came and I got in it. I waited (so as to be polite dont you know) a little while to see if she would get in before I pressed the button. ‘Go on girl!’ I thought to myself, prove all the detractors wrong. But alas the lady was not for sharing and I zoomed upwards and onwards to my floor alone, and she had to wait for the next one. Perhaps she was just shy.
My only problem with London is that I never seem to have enough time to get everything (and everyone :) done. I have gradually increased my time from 2 days, to 3 days and this time 5 days. But London is like some hungry child, goobling up time and demanding more. I like it there though ( a lot) and I will be back within the next couple of months.
A massive thanks to the lovely fellas I had the great fortune to see again and some I met for the first time. Truly, as usual, it was my pleasure gentlemen, thanks for looking after me, hope to see you again soon x

Whew!, I have a lot of things I want to get done by the end of the year and for 2010 too. I have just started to put together my worldwide tour list for next year, I want a new car, I will be moving within a few months and, as if that is not enough, I am investing in some new projects. I like to keep busy but you know I always have time for you darling x

I am definitely (bookings permitting) going to be in Dubai this December. I know it has taken a little while for me to get things organized for that but I am just about to book flights and accommodation once I hear back from the chaps in Dubai. All booked! Available in Dubai 15-20 December in a beautiful 5 star hotel on Jumeirah Beach.
Quite a few trips planned to the States next year as well, including Las Vegas, New Orleans, California and back to New York City. I am also hoping to spend a month in Sydney too. Perhaps we can meet up on one of those trips? I would love it! x

It’s getting a bit chilly now don’t you think? I have the heating on in the morning, it’s on the low setting but on it is. I am not too keen on traipsing – is that a Devon word? as in ‘Look at that maid!, (maid being a female and not necessarily of the serving wench variety – when you come here ( the westcountry) and get to know these things, you will be honoured to be called a maid, honestly, it is a term of endearment for girls/women/lasses – I don’t mind it, I have been called it all my life. Likewise ‘Bird’ , we call everyone ‘bird’ – men, women, dogs ,cats, even birds hahaha.
I got into trouble once, in a PC environment in the north for calling someone, a colleague ‘bird’. My defence, your honour was that it was a colloquial saying where I come from and therefore I was entitled to say it, so don’t tell me what I can and cannot say. Sigh. Don’t you wish you shouldn’t have to explain this stuff – these things that mean no harm to anyone to these PC maniacs?
Anyway, if you are a man and are called that; bird that is fine but maid is not (please keep up darling) Maid is definitely only for women. So I was saying; Oh yes ‘Look at that maid traipsing around looking like God knows what!’ Hmm and I thought God knew everything. (nods head unsagely)
Oh anyway, I digress :) where was I?, oh yes traipsing around the apartment semi-naked freezing my wotsits off. Oh no. You will find a warm and toasty welcome here. Yes indeed.
I don’t know about you but my attention goes to comfort food (yes food again :) when the autumn peeks it’s coppery head around the corner. And that means….. ahh roast dinners. Oh my word, yum. Now, who on this whole planet doesn’t like a well-cooked roast? No I thought not. Everyone does. I actually like cooking them too. I know they can be time consuming and all that washing up (horray for dishwashers!) So here is the deal, humour me, pander to my cravings and book a sunday lunchtime appointment and you will get…. eggs on toast. No just kidding, a roast of course. Chicken, Beef, Lamb, Pork, whatever. I don’t care. Just let me,go on let me do it for you! Or we could always pop out to a nice country pub and eat one there?
Talking of weekends, you will note that I have been away a fair bit lately and not available every weekend, well I am here for the next 3 (sorry, this weekend – 12 Sept – is fully booked though). But if you want to see me during the other ones and claim your roast, you know what to do ;)… A Roast and a Romp? Ooh er Missus!
Getting excited about my forthcoming London trip. Very excited. Apart from the splendiferous hotel I am booked into, just you wait and see! I have lots of other things planned too. Meeting my sexy London chaps of course!, lunch with the fabulous Miss Dollymopp, a party (yes I have been invited to a party! – whoo whoo! I can’t remember the last time I went to a proper party – sad isn’t it? hehehe). Obviously I am going to do a spot of shopping while I am there, maybe buy some new fancy pants and possibly take in St Paul’s Cathedral. I haven’t visited there before and I am gradually ticking off all the major sites of London during my tours.
Unfortunately for those wishing to see me in London this month, I am now fully booked for this tour (I have a list though – I love my lists! - for if you want me to contact you in case of cancellation) but I think I may be back sometime in November, so keep a look out for the dates my lovelies. Do you like it? This heat wave? I love it! Perfect temperature for me is around 24c, but I can accept 30c :) I have a lovely fan here (an electric one , you sauce pot!) - not keen on air con and besides we only need that for one day a year. Brrrrrrr

I saw this picture the other day and just gasped. It is of the lovely Dita Von Teese and her new beau. I think this is possibly one of the sexiest pictures I have ever seen. I cant tell you exactly why but I think it has something to do with the to-die-for sky-high Louboutin shoes and the stockings :) I know they are stockings because I had a pair exactly the same, from the Dita range bought for me once - they are divine. Hideously expensive though – around £35 because you have to order them from the States where the postal charges almost double the cost. They look amazing on too. But I also like this picture because she is not aware of it being taken and the actual motion of her sensual movement has, I think , been caught to perfection. She really is an inspiration. I have been wanting to see her burlesque show for years now and I think I will change my tour dates to coincide with her show in Paris in September. Oh la la. What fun, Im excited! x
