Sex for Fun

Sunday, March 14th, 2010

I was chatting to Mr J the other day and I said (as you do :)  Dolphins are the only species (apart from us) to have sex just for the sake of it, not just for procreation.  I bet you think I am a real bundle of laughs now dont you?

Anyway, I was wrong. Bonobos do too. They are a species of chimpanzee who also like to get it on, you know, just for fun.  Funnily enough common chimps dont do it. Curiouser and curiouser.

Sex plays a very important role in bonobo society. It is used as a greeting, as a means of conflict resolution, and a host of other important social gestures. They are relatively indiscriminate about their pairings – they do not form permanent relationships with individual partners. Other than humans, they are the only animals known to engage in face-to-face sex, tongue kissing, and oral sex. Same sex interactions between males and females are common. They have a matriarchal, peaceful society.

I did read once that Groups of young male dolphins have been recorded corralling a young female away from a group and raping her. Of course, not all of their interactions are malicious – they have sex for pleasure as well. Just like in human society there are always a few “bad ones” in the lot. I swam with wild dolphins once, in New Zealand; Dusky dolphins like the ones in the picture, they are the most acrobatic of the species.  The best thing I have ever done, really.  It was incredible.  I wouldnt ever swim with them or even go to see them in captivity, too cruel.  So dolphins raping?  Oh I cant bear it, they are so gentle, intelligent and playful.  It cannot be so!

Wow

Look at these!   A natural phenomenon (and you know you want to sing the muppets song right now, dont you?  Oh go on then :)

Anyway, these things were found in Somerset (the snow things not the muppets), in a field. My first thought was. ‘Oh those naughty crop circle boys have got nothing to do again’   But apparently not, these things, they start off with nice thick layer of snow, with the top snow just on the point of melting either because of general temperature or sunshine on the surface.

The top snow layer becomes a bit sticky, and you then need a fairly strong wind. The sticky layer can be peeled off the colder and more powdery snow underneath by the wind forming a roll. In the first picture you can see some of the powdery stuff sticking to the lower outside surface of the roll. I suppose it is a natural version of making a snowman. (You can tell by now that I didnt write this, me not being a Meteorologist at all  – aww shucks, it comes from the Daily Telegraph :)

Now, after being formed, the rolls eventually become too large and heavy for the wind to move, or are halted by rising ground or a tuft of vegetation.

They are often hollow because the weak inner layers which form first can easily be blown away, and the fragile formations can collapse in the slightest change of temperature or gust of wind.

Liz Bentley, of the Royal Meteorological Society, said despite their rarity in the UK, there is a chance of more snow rolls appearing over the next few days. (Whoo wooo!)

“These rolls are unusual here because we don’t tend to have major snow events like the one we’re experiencing now. They happen with the combination of lying snow and high wind speeds, mostly in North America and Northern Europe, and they can be as small as a tennis ball or they can be as large as two feet across – depending on how strong the wind is and how smooth the surface of the snow is,” she said.

“There are quite strong winds predicted this weekend as well as more snow, so if people keep a look out they might see a few more of these appearing around the country over the next few days.”

Natural Aphrodisiacs for Men

Sunday, October 5th, 2008

This week, an Italian study into Chinese herbal remedy Horny Goat Weed  (I simply adore that name!) revealed that it may provide a natural alternative to Viagra.  I have never been keen on the taking of Viagra, too many side effects and the thought of buying it on the internet with no medical advice, shocks me.  Folklore is filled with purported aphrodisiacs from oysters and champagne to crushed beetle husks.

Let’s re-visit that little Horny Goat Weed (hehe) again.  It’s also known as Barrenwort, Bishop’s Hat or by it’s Latin name, Epimedium.  This flowering plant (pretty little flowers arent they?)  grows wild in China and has been believed to be a natural aphrodisiac for years.  According to legend, this property was discovered by a Chinese goat herder who noticed sexual activity in his flock after they ate the weed . ( I actually knew a goat once who could perform oral sex on himself – I swear to God, it’s absolutely true! but I digress …)  While the new research did not look at whether it altered mood, they did discover it had a marked physical effect.  (Ohhh matron!)

There’s more…

Muira Puama – the indigenous name for this Amazonian rainforest shrub means ‘potency wood’.  It’s roots and bark have been used in Brazil for centuries to treat sexual dysfunction.  Scientific studies have found this herbal remedy may improve both mood and vigour.

Zinc – found in high quantities naturally in oysters, a renowned aphrodisiac – is essential for testosterone production.

Avena Sativa – extracted from the seed of the common oat plant, it is a popular natural mood and energy enhancer used for treating depression.  Also believed to enhance male sexual response, it has the highest content of zinc and iron of any grain.

Don’t ever say you never learn anything here :) x

Gladioli

Sunday, August 24th, 2008

I blame Dame Edna for making this magnificent bloom appear common.  Actually it may be a good thing because they are cheaper than other flowers!  Anyway, I have decided to stand firmly behind the cause of the gladioli.  They are stunning.  I have 5 strands (is that the proper address?) of these lovelies in my hallway – magnificent, glorious, stunning, beautiful.  They are words that have not been said  about them, well not to me :)  But should have!  I love them.  If they had not been associated with the Dame or been able to be grown in English gardens so easily we would all be marvelling at this lovely exotic looking bloom.   I just nipped off to look at them again, yeah they are gorgeous. Do you want to see mine?

A New Review! and this is me?…

Monday, August 18th, 2008

Thanks Mr G! xxx

I was browsing around the net (as you do) and took a peek at an Escort forum that I am not familiar with and a lady had posted on there about a site that reveals your personality by your name… what do you think? Is this me? :)

What Rhia Charles Means

You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You’re always up to something. You have a ton of energy, and most people can’t handle you. You’re very intense. You definitely are a handful, and you’re likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.You are truly an original person. You have amazing ideas, and the power to carry them out.Success comes rather easily for you… especially in business and academia. Some people find you to be selfish and a bit overbearing. You’re a strong person. You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It’s easy to get you excited… which can be a good or bad thing.

You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don’t stick with any one thing for very long.

You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

You are usually the best at everything … you strive for perfection.

You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.

You have the classic “Type A” personality.

You are very open. You communicate well, and you connect with other people easily.

You are a naturally creative person. Ideas just flow from your mind.

A true chameleon, you are many things at different points in your life. You are very adaptable.

You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow.

You are light hearted and accepting. You don’t get worked up easily.

Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.

You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.

At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

You are the total package – suave, sexy, smart, and strong.

You have the whole world under your spell, and you can influence almost everyone you know.

You don’t always resist your urges to crush the weak. Just remember, they don’t have as much going for them as you do.

Go on have a go and let me know if it’s correct!

It’s all go…

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

Phew!  I have been a busy bee lately.  What with travelling all over Devon and Cornwall and getting some new projects off the ground, it really is all go.  So, I am off to Windsor next Thursday and looking forward to that – I think I shall get some spa treatments booked in for when I am there.  New York is still looking very good, I am REALLY looking forward to having more sexy pics taken, although my present ones were only taken in March, I feel that I have had them forever and I am sure you are sick of looking at them now!  One of my gents pointed me in the direction of a fabulous lingerie label that I hadnt heard of before.  I shant tell you it yet , suffice to say, its sexy, silk and very, very expensive – I feel a spree coming on again!  Maybe I will get some more fancy pants in New York :)

New clients, please note that I am only seeing new clients after receiving an initial email with a bit of info about you – just so that I can determine that we ‘click’.  Unfortunately, I cannot see any new clients without this info.  Please check my ‘contact me’ page for full details.

So, how has my new time structure been working?  Very well!  I wish I had done it ages ago.  I can’t tell you how much nicer it is to spend 2 hours in someone’s delightful company, and also how much more sensual it is!  A very seductive and passionate date with a flirty build up and quality ‘getting to know you’ time – bliss!

You’ve been reviewed!

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

That’s always an exciting email to get – and I got one today!  It means a lot to me for you to take the time to post a review – I know you are very busy guys – so today  a big thanks to Mr T – the very lovely Mr T, we had so much fun   – definitely a Mr Perfect xxx.

I tried to post another naughty nature piccy today but for some reason this blog programme sometimes doesn’t like to embrace photos, So will try later. (done! – I love the little house just tucked behind to the left – I want to live there :) I think I spoke too soon about the glorious sunshine – where, oh where has it gone? Is that it then?  Just like last year – a few days of bliss and then overcast vileness?  I am seriously thinking of spending 6 months abroad – for sunshine and tax purposes – listen to me sounding like Rod Stewart!  Makes sense though – somewhere like Marbella – you could visit me, play golf etc etc – still a dream at the moment but you never, ever know and once I get an idea in my bonnet….

Ohh I haven’t put a joke on here for ages…

A high school English teacher reminds her class of tomorrow’s final exam. “Now class, I won’t tolerate any excuses for you not being there tomorrow. I might consider a nuclear attack or a serious personal injury or illness, or a death in your immediate family – but that’s it, no other excuses whatsoever!”A smart-ass guy in the back of the room raises his hand and asks, “What would you say if tomorrow I said I was suffering from complete and utter sexual exhaustion?” The entire class does its best to stifle their laughter and snickering.

When silence is restored, the teacher smiles sympathetically at the student, shakes her head, and sweetly says, “Well, I guess you’d have to write the exam with your other hand.”
