Oh what a splendid time I have had. Wonderful weather, the best dining, ever, laughter, lots of pampering and that was just on the way there ;)
These adorable little trips away are such fun. I do enjoy them but I wouldnt accept an offer like this unless I had seen the lovely fella at least once beforehand, for a dinner date or somesuch. A few days are an awfully long time to be with someone you dont click with, on both sides. Luckily me and my guy, well we clickety clicked from the get go.
Mister had business to attend to most days (poor thing) and so I was given carte blanche to do with myself what I may and a few pampering sessions were the order of the day! Mind you, I did pamper him too when he got back ;)
I have been massaged, pummelled, exfoliated, preened, trimmed and waxed. I have had face masks like rubber peeled off me, had my chakras balanced (hmm), had 
reflexology and a host of people generally prettifying my feet. I even had a personal trainer (sadist). My nails are buffed, my skin is glowing and my hair is bouncy. In short, I am refreshed, relaxed, happy and raring to go. Come and get me?

Yes it is decided (almost!), I shall be taking a little holiday of around 3 weeks to South Africa in January 2011. I know its a long time away but a trip like this needs planning. Lots of planning. I have got my flight – its free hehe. I managed to accumulate enough points for a first class flight to Cape Town, lucky me. Just have to pick the gorgeous hotels and stunning safari lodges now. Wow they are going to be special. I am so looking forward to it. The last time I was in Africa, I was in Zimbabwe before all the nonsense started. I loved it, truly magical. Mmmm, yes I shall be travelling the wine route, the garden route, a 2 day spa break and of course around 4 days of safari. I know a lot of my fellas have been to South Africa before, so I would appreciate any tips you may have – especially places to stay and recommended restaurants of the gourmet variety are always welcomed! So, I finished my London Marathon in just under 3 hours. No not that marathon! I went for a marathon sunday lunch today instead, and very nice it was too hehe. Pounding the streets?, well, that doesnt really appeal to me quite frankly and besides all that, I would get two black eyes (think about it :) I do admire them though, those runners. 26 miles! Phew! Bravo to everyone who took part.
I have had a few visits recently from some of my fellas in the Southwest, and more to come. Imagine that, coming all this way to see little ole me! I am very flattered and honoured – thanks guys x
And with them they brought this stunning sunshine we have all had. Superb. It certainly makes one feel happier, brighter and yes sunnier :) I had my first Pimms party last night, at a friends house. Summer isnt summer without Pimms and funnily enough I cant drink it unless the weather is good. All psychological I know but it makes it all the more enjoyable if you only have it occassionally. (That doesnt include champagne of course as it has been proven that a lack of champagne can lead to all sorts of medical conditions like moroseness and mundanititis :)
Anyway, you will be thrilled to know that I have ordered the Pimms, the mint and the cucumber and plenty of ice. You just need to decide on one glass or two when you get here ;)

I went to Bicester Village in Oxford today. Apparently its pronounced ‘Bista’ Village, did you know that? I didnt.

Recently, Germany conducted some scientific exploration involving their best scientists. Core drilling samples of earth were taken to a depth of 50m and during the core examinations, small pieces of copper were discovered. I am doing it this year. The English Social Season. I can do it all in one year now; Now that I am here, in London.
So we start off with The Chelsea Flower Show and then Glyndeborne, Epsom and Royal Ascot, oh and the polo (love Cartier), Wimbledon, Henley Regatta, Cowes (oh no, I have to leave London!) and the Last Night of the Proms. Have I forgotten anything?, emails and comments are gratefully received.
I am like that, I will do them all in one year. I once went to all the music festivals (well, most of them) around the UK during one summer. Great fun. Well, it has to be done doesnt it? and then you have tales to tell, makes you a little bit interesting you see. I just need some fine chaps to send some invites my way re: The Season ;) Oh and I need a new frock (or two) and a hat.

I hope you had a wonderful new year. Mine was fab. Even though, I was in an unfamiliar town in an unfamiliar venue and knew only one person, it mattered not one jot. We had such fun and it just goes to show that its not where you are that counts, its who you are with, oh and what you make of a situation. So my poor tootsies were very sore by the end of the night, the band was too good! They played soul music all night – bliss!
So what about you then? What are your new year’s resolutions?; do you have any? perhaps you have one not to make any :) The problem with most of them is that they are negative. ie. lose weight, stop smoking, stop drinking – all deprivation-based goals. I learnt the hard way years ago to just phrase them differently and instead of feeling that you are losing something, you feel as though you are gaining. So instead of ‘stop drinking’ it would be drink more good things, ie water. Try it.
Now, as you know, I have my lovely lists and usually a few days before the end of the year, I like to go through my list for the past year, did I get to do all the things I wanted to? (do I sound like a total anorak?, oh dear hahaha) It never happens that I do all of the things of my list (I write down too many), but I do most of them. Last year it was about travel, visiting certain restaurants and some entrepreneurial projects. This year, it is about connections and making time for friends, exploring London and doing some voluntary charity work.
I like new year. Its a time for reflection and a time to get excited about future plans. Hope yours are biggies, (your plans, naughty! ) Tell me about them sometime x

I do hope you had a splendid Christmas, and it turned out exactly as you wanted it. You did didnt you? Mine was very, very nice. Family, friends, relaxation and far, far too much food and champagne. My gym will not know what has hit it come tomorrow.

So, the preparations for the move to London are going well. Its probably not the best time to move, when services keep closing for festive holidays but thats the way it has worked out. Hey ho. (or should that be ‘hey ho ho ho’?)
I am getting booked up already for the short time I have left in Devon so please get in touch asap if you have an idea about a final tryst in sunny Plymouth. Otherwise it will be off to London for you young man. (Do I sound like a pantomime dame? ha)
Its usually around about now that I reflect on the past year and regale you with tales of strange requests, silly texters and all that malarky. I am happy to report that I cant remember any naughtiness (of the ‘Oh do me a favour!’ variety) having occurred, well not much and nothing worth noting here – horray! it must be because I took my phone number off my site. I still get the odd (very odd) boy calling me at stupid o’clock of course – usually around about 3am – is that when all the nutters wake up? Anyway, they go on my ‘do not answer, EVER list’ which sits warningly on my phone. The problem is that my address book has run out of space! Eeek, if you know a solution, pray tell. I have filled my sim card and my phone now. So no strange requests, no totally untoward nonsense and a fully bloated address book. There is a moral in there somewhere :)
Now then, my New Year’s celebrations involve travelling a little way out of Devon and getting dressed up in a party frock. I will be partaking in ‘tripping the light fantastic’ and definitely shaking a wicked hoof. Ohh I do hope the roads will be nice and dry and clear. I have a few trips planned for 2010 but not nearly as crazy as 2009 was in terms of travelling. I fully intend to really get to know London, experience it properly. I am already getting to know it you know. The removal man was asking a couple of questions like, ‘Is it near xxx?’ and (this is me showing off) I said ‘Oh no its nearer to xxx’ Who’d have thought it?, me knowing a little about London geography! Mind you, I know where the best restaurants are, where to get the best Sunday Champagne Brunch and where the poshest hotels are. Oh yes, I have my priorities firmly on the right hand side, my friend ;)
