Driftwood
December 1, 2008 –
Look at these stunning sculptures. By Devon artist Heather Jansch, they are made entirely of driftwood. I love driftwood. The way that the sea smooths and polishes a tumbled branch is beautiful, so to see these sculptures at the weekend was incredible.

Agree with you Rhia, the sculptures are very beautiful ! You wouldn’t, by any chance, know the exact location of the sculpture of the three horses by the sea ?
I would love to see it with my own eyes, if I am in the vicinity sometime.
Where I live there is a local artist who makes furniture from driftwood – very special, not something you can buy from your average furniture dealer.

Hi Kallek! I think that picture was taken specifically for a newspaper article but I could be wrong. Here is the lady’s website

Her studio is in Newton Abbot which is around 30 miles from Plymouth, on the way to Exeter. I am sure that if you are in the area you could view some of her pieces x
